Office 2007 SP2 results in BSOD upon restart

Anyone else had the blue screen of death on restarting their PC after
applying Office 2007 SP2?

The service pack appeared to install OK, then prompted me to restart. Then
I get the blue screen after the initial Windows loading screen. I was only
able to recover system after I went back to last known good configuration
(i.e. before SP2 was applied).

Not sure why an Office service pack would cause this. I can't see anything
meaningful in the event log either, just details about installing OneNote
printer drivers...
