Office 2007-Switching PC version for a mac version

I bought “Microsoft Office 2007: Essential Concepts and Techniques (Shelly Cashman Series) by Gary B. Shelly” for class and got a trail software. Now I have a slight problem, home/classwork has to be done using Office 2007 and I own a mac and no PC. I was wonder if I could switch the CD for the mac version? Or, is this disk garbage and a waste of money?

If you have an Intel Mac you can install Parallels or VMWare to use your
copy.

There are no exchanges for Mac to PC or vice versa. Even though the
applications are very similar they also have many differences. Your class
might not make a lot of sense to you if you were trying to use Office for
Mac.
