Hi Ian,
Follow the steps below to see if it works.
1. Open the trial version of Word 2007.
2. Click the Microsoft Office button.
3. Click Word Options.
4. In the Navigation Pane, click Resources, and then click Activate Microsoft Office.
5. In the Activation Wizard, use one of the following methods:
If you have purchased a product key from a retailer, click Enter Product Key, and then follow the instructions in the wizard.
6. Enter the 25-character full-product key, and then click Continue.
7. Click I accept the terms in the License Agreement, and then click Next to install the software.
If it doesn't work, ask the user to get the Office 2007 installation CD. And then uninstall the trial version of Office 2007. Reinstall the
Office 2007 and activate it.
To obtain replacement CDs, please contact the Microsoft Supplemental and Replacement Parts Department at (800) 360-7561. Please
note that proof of purchase from a retailer is required when ordering a replacement part. If your software was distributed with or
preinstalled on your computer at the time of purchase, you need to contact your personal-computer manufacturer for replacements.

Hi,
If the "customer" has Office 2007 pre-installed on their machine and has
used the Trial. They have now purchased an Office 2007 key but can't find
anywhere to put it in. (all the links and reminders tell them to purchase
the software, but the IT dept have already purchased a suitable key).
They can't seem to locate the icon required as per
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/HA101758981033.aspx#1
Is there a command line they can enter which will bring up the option to
enter the new office software key?
This "customer" is a remote user so I can't see their screen/machine.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Ian
