I recently uninstalled the b2 version of Office 2007 and downloaded the
trial version. Completely uninstalled the Beta version but now I can't
get the trial version to install.
I get the following message: could not open key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\ACTIVE SETUP\INSTALLED
COMPONENTS\{73fa19d0-11d2-995d-00c04f98bbc9}. Verify you have
sufficient access to that key. Setup failed. Rolling back changes...
This is my home computer. I am the administrator so I am supposed to
have full access. I have tried to change permissions, deleting the
key, cleaning the registry and a few other things.
I have searched and can't seem to find any solution that works.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am really at a loss!
