Office 2007 Trial uninstall - lost it ALL!

My MSO 2007 Trial expired and I was asked to either Buy or Bye. I really
didn't like it - found Excell to be combersome, so I chose the Bye option and
uninstalled it. BIG MISTAKE! Now none of my documents that I had saved as
compatable will open. None of them. Am I to be forced to buy this software
that I don't like now just so I can open my files again?? BOO Microsoft if
that's the case...

What are you trying to open them with? If you didn't have any Office
software before you used the 2007 trial , and you uninstall it, well
it's hard to expect it to work, no?

Of course I saved them. Some of these docs I'm trying to access haven't even
been opened since way before I even downloaded the 2007 Trial! I now have NO
OFFICE on my computer at all. The only thing I uninstalled was the Trial, but
what was removed was ALL OFFICE. Everything! Gone. Publisher, Word, Excell,
all of it gone. I just want to get my files back!

So if you have NO OFFICE on your machine, how on EARTH do you expect to open
OFFICE files?

Get out your CD for the version of Office you had before the trial, and
install it. Your documents are still there. Well they are, unless you
deleted them. But until you install some kind of Office, you won't be
opening them.

Audrey, which version of Office did you have installed prior to installing
the Office 2007 trial version? Do you have the installation CDs for that
version? If so, reinstall the older version of Office and you should be off
to the races.

hth!
