Office 2007 Trial

I currently have Office 2003 on my computer. My school has installed 2007,
and I have to begin teaching it Jan. 8--without any training or a text. If I
install the trial of Office 2007 on my computer to learn the program, will it
corrupt my Office 2003 when my trial period runs out?

I do not envy you. There are MAJOR changes between 2003 and 2007. If you
haven't been running it for at least a few months, you're going to find
yourself in a world of mess. You may find that you are unable to find the
commands you're going to need. (Hot keys are great but if you're teaching
the programs, you need to know where to find the commands.)

It won't "corrupt" your Office 2003 programs provided you DO NOT tell it to
UPGRADE. Be aware the 2007 uses a different file format than 2003 and that
you can only have one version of Outlook on your computer at a time. If you
want Outlook 2007, you need to uninstall Outlook 2003 before installing it.

My suggestion is to buy the 2007 upgrade from Amazon and don't even try the
trial.

While you are waiting for a copy of Office 2007, you may want to go here:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/default.aspx?ofcresset=1
and look at the Find Training link on the right side.

Your Office 2003 qualifies for an upgrade to any edition of Office 2007.
Suggest you choose the same edition your school has or at least an edition
that has all the applications in your schools edition.

Thank you so much for the link to the training site. This may be a life saver!
