Office 2007 updates for Office 2003?

I have Office 2003. I just installed Office SP3, and now Microsoft Update
says I need updates for Office 2007. But I don't have Office 2007. I
believe there is a problem in Microsoft Update.

Here's the list of 2007 updates it says I need:
Update for Office 2007 (KB934393)
Update for Word 2007 (KB934173)
Security Update for the 2007 Microsoft Office System (KB936960)
Update for Office 2007 (KB934391)
Security Update for Microsoft Office Excel 2007 (KB936509)

Please advise.

I remember getting Office 2007 updates once I installed the Office 2007
compatibility pack. Can't remember if the KBs mentioned below are the ones,
but do you have the compatibility pack installed?

Yes (I had to click "show updates" in "Add/Remove Programs" to see it, though).

I guess the theory is that these Office 2007 updates are just for the
compatibility pack. Do you concur?

Q: How can a suggestion be sent to update the wording on these updates to
say "Office 2007 and/or the Compatibility Pack for Office 2007"?

Based on the way you described using add/remove programs, then I would
concur.

Suggestion passed on. I've forwarded your note to the Microsoft staff
person that stays in touch with the Outlook MVPs. Can't promise anything,
but I agree that if an update applies to the Compatibility Pack that it
should say so.

I went ahead and applied the Office 2007 updates, and everything still seems
to work OK.
