Office 2007 updates

I am helping a neighbor and everytime we try to install the Windows updates
all of the updates for Office 2007 fail. She has purchased the full version
and we have activated Word and Excel. Why are they failing each time.?

Most probably because you did not uninstall the Office Trial and the Activation
Assistant from the Add Remove that came with the computer at the time of purchase or
from installing the Trial to try . Uninstall all references to Office including the
Activation Assistant and reboot. Then try your install
