Office 2007 upgrade from 2003

My brother in law purchased and installed Office 2007, upgrading from 2003.
He has a letter head and when he opens it he can't type anything in it, and
it asks do you want to convert to 2003, he clicks yes and all is ok then.
But he has to go through this procedure everytime he opens something?
Surley this is a hic-up in the install, should I advise him to uninstall and
reinstall ?

Letter head? do you mean a template?
Maybe its because the template was created in 2003 and what its actually
asking is do you want to use compatibility mode? ie 2003 as apposed to
converting it and saving to 2007 format.

Uninstall/Reinstall rarely cures any problems, that a repair under Office
Diagnostics wont do - not that you actually have a problem.

Try resaving the template in Office 2007 file format.
