Office 2007 vs 2010 vs 2012 - worth the upgrade?

I believe the .docx extension from 2007 works pretty much in 2012. So if I'm happy with 2007, why upgrade to 10 or 12? Other than getting a better interface? (something about the Ribbon I've heard).

and Office 2013 have improved functionality in many areas as compared t
Office 2007.

How do you explain that with Office 2007 I can save a document as .docx? It is indeed a nice format, as it is automatically compressed.

Perhaps I've added some Word 2007 extension, and forgot I did so? But it's a fact: I can save in docx.
