I have [a few minutes ago] received my disk from Micrsoft with Office 2007.
My question is Can I install it into another drive or partition and leave
Office 2003 intact?
Or it it not acceptable?

Yes you can do that, of course any problems that you have or that may
arise from the installation of, or use of the beta are yours to deal
with. Ensure you have backed up any and all documents and files you deem
important, and IF the use of this PC and your current applications is
crucial, rethink the planned installation of beta software.
