Office 2007

I have just installed Office 2007 on my desktop. I received a fax and can't
open it to view. I know I have downloaded all critical updates and packs
needed for Office 2007 to run smoothly on my system. Can you tell me why I
can't view my faxes?
Thanks

Do you want to use Windows XP Fax Service or Microsoft Office Document
Imaging to view your fax?

For the former, see http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=306550 "How to
enable and configure the Fax service in Windows XP".

For the latter, Microsoft Office Document Imaging is an optionally
installed feature in Office 2007. Just add the feature to your
installation as described at
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HA012340671033.aspx . You'll
find the feature in the Office Tools category.

When I open Fax Console and click on the new fax to open it, the error
message reads: 'the fax document cannot be displayed because your operating
system does not have a default viewer for fax documents (.tif files).'

This didn't happen before I installed Office 2007. I sent, received and
viewed faxes fine.

Define "can't open it to view". What happens when you try?

I use Fax Console-I copied the error message I was getting in an email reply
to JoAnn Paules, but she hasn't gotten back to me. Can you read that email
and let me know what you think? I have tried everything and have downloaded
and installed all the latest updates and packs for this purpose.
Thanks,
