Office 2007

In a retail version of Office, how many computers (all owned by me) can I
install it on?

thanks

It depends on the license. Office 2007 OEM = 1 computer. Office 2007 retail (except for Home and Student) = 2 computers (1 desktop and one portable) used by the same person. Office 2007 Home and Student = 3 computers.

Hard to guess. It's some of the strangest pricing I've ever seen. Maybe
Office 2007 Standard is targeted at people who are mathematically
challenged. Not only does buying H&S + Outlook cost less, but you get
OneNote 2007, as well.

Sometimes, perhaps, less is more, in that paying less gets you more.

On sort of follow up, why does it cost less to get Office home & Student
and
outlook seperate than getting office standard?

Hi Student,

Keep in mind that while the Home & Student edition of Office 2007 allows installation on up to 3 family computers, the Outlook 2007
retail product is only 2 (desktop and portable).

Probably because it is limited to non-commercial use?

Hi Milly, I know that this is off the subject but you seem to know what you
are doing with Office 2007. How can I get it to print Postnet Barcodes on
envelopes and labels? This was easy with Office 2003 but there does not seem
to be any option for this on 2007.
Thanks, Ted

I'm not Milly but I suspect you're looking for an answer regardless of who
provides it. :)

The PostNet field is still available in the Fields dialog box, found on the
Insert tab, under Quick Parts, but it was removed from the Envelopes and
Labels dialog box. Mainly because it no longer meets the US Postal
requirements and even if you do add it, there's nothing to gain from it.

Also, in the newsgroups it's preferable that a new thread be started for
each question. This enables folks to keep track of what is actually
happening in a thread and enables easier search for answers to questions
that have already been asked. If you are having difficulty creating a New
Post, check below the Address bar - it could be the pop-up blocker is
disabling the New Post window.

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email can not be acknowledged.
