I am running office 2003. if I download office 2007, would I loose all my
current contacts in outlook. Thank you

No, your current contacts will be with you in 2007. However, you can only
have ONE installation of Outlook, and if you upgrade and you choose to go
back to 2003, you may have issues unless you back up your information. You
can backup your Outlook pst files and your contacts so that you can import
them if things get messed up and you have to start completely over.

Use File > IMPORT AND EXPORT and follow the wizards to export your email and
contacts. Make sure to save to a different location than the hard drive
you're currently using so that, if you need to reinstall Windows ever, you
can not lose your contacts and/or email.

Many thanks for your response.

From the installation disc, would I have the choice of what to install. i.e
can I install Outlook & Power point?

If you select CUSTOM install, you can choose which programs and features of
those programs you can install.

Many thanks for your response.

I have exported my contacts as backup.pst

How can I possibly view them? When I actually tried to open the new file, it
asked me for a program to open it with.

As assistance will be highly appreciated

What you do is to import it back into Outlook, but only if you had to
reinstall Windows.
