What is the work around for older files that looses its creation date from
previous versions when saved in Office 2007?

Add the column "Content Created" to your Explorer view.

Gordon, I am using office 2003 but planning on upgrading to Office 2007. As
I was doing research I discovered that files created in Office 2003 and older
looses its creation date when modified and saved in Office 2007. This could
jeopardize the integrity of the file. In other words, if you choose to save
the document as an XML (2007) file it will obtain the today's date and will
loose it original creation date.

Of course if you do a Save As you are creating a NEW document - so the date
created will change. If you open the document and just Save, then the
created date will NOT change...that applies to ANY application, not just
Office 2007...
