Office 2008 SP1 Update failing

Hi there,

I am attempting to install Office 2008 SP1 Update failing (12.1.0) but there is an error message when searching and selecting a destination.

The error is:

"You cannot install Office 2008 SP1 Update (12.1.0) on this volume. A version of the software required to install this update was not found on the volume. "

How do I correct that problem and get SP1 installed.

I am having the same issue. I tried the <http://www.entourage.mvps.org/error/install_update.html#fails1> and it didn't do anything to help solve the problem. Any other suggestions?

There are several options for this update. Did you follow the modified
reinstall Office 2008 option?
