Office 2K, Installer comes on each time

I have a small network about 30 PCs. Few months ago, one
computer had a problem where everytime an office
application like excell or word was started installer
will pop up and then go away after a few seconds and the
application will work fine. I tried everything like
reinstalling office, deleting registry keyes etc, but
finally I had to fix it by using MS fix of deleting some
registry keyes and then ccopying adminstrator profile to
the user profile, and then had to setup user's setiing
again.

Is there a bettr fix or not?
