Office 97 Installation

T

Tony

I've been using Office 97 for years. I was going to use the disk to do a
repair and I'm getting an 16 bit windows subsystem error message.
"C:\Windows\System32\Autoexec.NT. The system file is not suitable for
running MS-DOS and MS Windows applications. Choose close to terminate the
application." I'm running Windows XP SP1 On a PIV, 528meg memory....Where do
I start?

Thanks.

Tony

I am having the same problem on my Win 2000 Pro system. I went to Article
ID: 889506 and I followed the directions for the workaround, and I still
receive the same error message. I want to Install Office 97 and then Upgrade
to Office 2000 Professional. Any suggestions?? Thanks.
