Office 97 Pro on Windows XP Home - freezes limited user account ?

Can anyone help please ?

Once I've installed Office 97 Pro,
limited user accounts will not log on.

It says logging on, loading settings,
then it goes to a blank screen.
At best it loads the wallpaper and toolbar, but no start button or systray.

Any ideas please, can't find anything on MS KB support site.
