Office 97 Product key

Please could some boffin type help.
After formatting my computer and reinstalling windows I tried to install office 97 but I have lost the wrapping containg the key code to load it back on to the poxy computer. I have the bill of sale and product id plus part numbers on the box but have failed to contact a microsoft support tech type person, due my product being OEM.
If the key can reclaimed or found some how I would be eternerly gratefull (Bloody estatatic in fact) or do I file the disc in b.1.n and forget it?
