Office 97 Prof upgrade will not install

PC shows to have MS Word 2002 from Works Suite installed
on PC. How to get Office prof 97 upgrade to install on
PC. If it won't work will Office XP upgrade work or will
I have to buy the entire office Prof suite for almost$500?

As I understand it, Works Suite qualifies you for an upgrade to Office 2003.
I'm not surprised you're having problems with Office 97, since it would not
be regarded as an "upgrade" from 2002; you need to have an *earlier*
qualifying product.
