office 97 professional edition

I need help, I just bought a new tower, and I wanted to
install my Office 97, but I recieve an error message that
says invalid cd key. The key # is on the back of the
original case, I don't understand why this isn't working!
any ideas how to fix this?

make sure that you are typing keys correctly---eg perhaps a o and not a 0
