Office 97 setup

I can't re-install Office 97. I have the proper CD key but when I try it, I
recieve a meesage that tells me a necessary file is missing or corrupt. What
can I do?

Buy a CD cleaning product at a record store and make sure the
read side of your CD is clean, and also not scratched
2
Copy the entire CD to a directory on your hard drive and try
the install from there
