office 97

I just got an error message that told me that 97 is no longer supported, and
will not work. Is this true? My office will not work. My resume and all my
important papers use this software. I cannot afford to upgrade at this time.
I hope I am doing something wrong. Please help!

Office 97 isn't supported any longer but that doesn't mean it won't work. If
you are getting error messages, I would suggest posting those messages to
get help.

And just so you know, you can use Office 97 as a qualifying product for
Office 2003. I really doubt it will qualify for Office 2007. If you're going
to upgrade at all, you don't have a lot of time to do it.

Thank you. I think I misunderstood. After crashing, which is something that
almost never happens, and the error report came back as non-supported, I took
it to mean that it wasn't going to work anymore. Sorry. I now understand
that I am just on my own with it. I would dearly love to update to any of
the newer versions, I just cannot afford it right now. Later today I will
check it out again, possibly re-install it, and I will definately take
advantage of the message boards. Thank you again. I feel better.

I'm still using Microsoft Office 97 and it still works well. It's no longer
support in terms of Tech. support.
