I have this CD already installed on my home computer, i am thinking of
getting a laptop, can i re-use this CD for the laptop or is it one CD per
computer?

It is generally one licence per machine, unless it says on the box that it
can be used on more than one machine.

yes to verify, for Home & Student it is 3 computers *at one time*. (you can
later 'de-license' any or all of the 3, and reassign to a different computer.
for home and office, it doesn't matter whether the additional computers are
desktops or laptops.

BUT -- if you have the OEM version of home and student, i.e. it was
preinstalled on the computer, you are more limited, i.e. usually limited to
that one machine ever.

(on other retail versions of office you are limited to 2 installatins at one
time, 1 destkop and 1 laptop, or 2 laptops *at one time*).

to check your particular license agreement, click the office circle logo at
the top of excel (say), <excel options>, <resources>, <about>, <"View the
nucrisift siftwaree Kucebse terms" link.
