Office Assistant choice in Outlook 2003 will not save.

Notwithstanding my choice for an assistant and having had the same one
previously for 5 years, I now get an unselected assistant every time I open
Outlook 2003. Also happens when I restart the programe and/or the computer.
Any ideas?
