office assistant compatability problems

hi, anyone out there know how to make the office 97 standard assistant
downloads from the Microsoft website compatable with windows XP? It seems as
if my computer was only supplied with merlin! Thanks.

Office 97 assistants will not work with current versions of Office.
You can download assistants that will work with current versions of Office
