Office Basic 2007 came with trial version of PowerPoint

Hi, I recently purchased a new computer with Windows 7 Professional. With
pretty much nothing else on the computer, I installed Microsoft Office Basic
2007 (OEM from the place I purchased the computer), which is supposed to come
with the full version of PowerPoint. However, all I have is the trial
version of PowerPoint. I've tried re-entering my product key with no luck.

What's going on here?

Office basic does NOT come with any PowerPoint. It only has Word, Excel and
Outlook. You can purchase an upgrade to PPT and use the Basic program suite
as the qualifying program. See
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/suites/FX101674061033.aspx for programs
included with Basic.

(really long URL but shows PowerPoint upgrade from Amazon supplier at $69.00
or so. Not a bad price.)

Souns also that the PC had a preinstalled Trial Version that you failed to
uninstall first, together with Activation assistant, via add/remove, then
rebooted, prior to installing your OEM version.
