Office Beta 2TR broken? No word, etc. docs

Is my beta version of office broken? Can't open outlook, word, excell,
ppoint, etc. NOTHING works all of a sudden. Get intercept that the program
(e.g. a word.doc) isn't "available". What's up with this? NEED help BADLY!!!!

If you're using Symantec/Norton AntiVirus, try disabling the
Office Plugin that comes with it (but don't disable Norton
AutoProtect). See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=329820 "How

Yeah, great plan, disable virus protection against macros for a bugy beta
program. ;)

I liked the Office 2007 Beta 2 release better than B2TR... it worked better
and I even liked the icons better.

Hi Jr.,

You're not disabling the virus protection. The Antivirus scanner still checks files when they're being opened. You're disabling
the 'hooks' between the Antivirus program plugin for MS Office. The same plug-in has been problematic with prior releases of MS
Office as well.

Bob..thanks. But, now, no 2003 doc, rtf, text files. Eorror mesg says files
are not "available" in 2007 Word Beta. Now what?

Hi Roger,

Did you turn off the 'Office Plugin' in the Symantec-Norton Antivirus settings miscellaneous tab then restart the Office apps?

Bob...that did it!!! All appears back to normal. Can't WAIT to get rid of
