Office Communicator - Out of Office Sticks?

In our implementation of Office Communicator 2005, I've noticed that others'
Out of Office messages stay next to their name even after they turn it off.
The message goes away after I sign out and back in to communicator, but I was
wondering if it is possible to get this to update real-time (or relatively
so...).
