Office configures every time I open it

Every time I open an Office application, the "please wait while Windows
configures MS Office 2007" starts. Would expect this the first time after
installation, but not every time. Would be grateful for any suggestions or
help.

Do you have an older version of Office installed alongside Office 2007?
If yes, then you can modify the Windows registry as described in
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=928091 "Information about using 2007
Office suites and programs on a computer that is running another version
of Office".

No, this is a Windows Vista Business PC, and has only ever had Office 2007
installed on it. We bought it with an OEM version of Office 2007. We do now
have an Open Licence, so I thought I would get rid of the problem by
unistalling the OEM, then re-install our Open Licence version, but
unfortunately still the same problem.
