Office documents on HDD will not open from MSO2007 T2R.

Following installation of Office 2007 T2R on Win XP SP2 PC, observed that
none of the office applications will open any of the document folders created
in W2003. Found out further that they will not open any documents created in
office 2007 and saved to drive C:. This is a new installation on existing
PC. The only issue that may be effecting this is that the Palm software was
installed after the MSO 2007 T2R.

Update on situation: Ran the office diagnostics to completion and no problem
was detected. Uninstalled the Office T2R, reinstalled Office Beta 2 (files
are able to open), then installed the T2R again and the files are now not
available, although the file is clearly there and is filly functional from
another networked PC running Office 2003. Ideas?

Thanks for your reply and I will try it. The referenced MS KB doc revers
only to Norton products through 2004. This PC is running Norton IS 2006.
Please note that there is no problem with the Beta 2 version, only when the
T2R is installed. Currently, I am running it with the Beta 2 and everything
is fine.

Hi Claude,

The MS KB article is being updated to include newer versions of Symantec-Norton computer protection products. If you have the
Norton icon in your system tray right click and in the Settings disable the Office Plugin in the Miscellaneous section.

The problem in this case is basically within MS Office 2007 Beta 2 Technical Refresh.
