office does not know fonts

Office (Windows/power point) does not acknowledge fonts like Tahoma & Time
New Roman and may be other fonts. What can I do? I see all fonts in the
fonts floder in Windows file.

Please help, thanks.

Tested everything & problem still
- re-insert fonts tahoma & Time News 6 files into the font floder.
- All fonts names are shown in font list box
- Install printer HP LaserJet-5P
- now also having Adobe, SnagIt, MS Image printers,
- I cannot see text menu,
- When type, I cannot see text with Tohoma font
- With Time New Roman font, the first word cannot be seen, but the following
words shown only after hitting a space bar.
- MS Word is instability, isn't it?
- I use XP-home & Office2003.
