office doesn't function with scanner

Office 2003 doesn't recognize scanner LG scanworksP- EPP.

Explain "does not recognize". How old is this scanner? What are you trying

Sorry for my english..

when i try to insert an image from my scanner (LG scanworks 600P - EPP, 2
years old, connected with parallel port), using Office 2003 or Publisher,
appears the following writing: scanner isn't on line , please connect the
scanner or reinstall the driver . Instead,when i open directly the scanner
with the program supplied with the same item (Taskbridge), it works without
probems.
I think the problem is the driver.I've lost originals drivers ( however
for Win 98) and i've downloaded drivers updates for Win XP.

My guess is that since the scanner is using a parallel port along with your
comment about Win 98 drivers, it's an older model. You'll have to scan the
item in using the scanner software and then insert it into your document.
