My Boss's Secretary

Hello, I’m using MS OFFICE 2003 professional on a Windows XP professional
box. Sometime ago,( I’m not sure when exactly ) the option for showing the
LAST OPENED object disappeared. Say I work on a Word doc ( or Excel or
PP)called 123.doc and save it. Then the next time I opened word it would show
me that last doc I worked on was 123.doc. this made it easier to find recent
work. Now I have to manually select open files and look for what I last
worked on. Anyone have any ideas on how I can get the option to show last
opened items back ??

Thanks

AL

In Word and in Excel, click on Tools | Options | General tab |
check the "Recently used file list" box | OK.

If you have used TweakUI or another 3rd party utility to customize
Windows to disable document shortcuts from being added to the Start
Menu, then that's where the problem lies.
