Use it. Books, etc are fine but there's nothing like real life usage of the
program to develop your skills. There are some helpful tutorials available
on the web and Google will help you find what you want there. Books are
great too - I have different ones depending on my needs. the best way to
find the ones for you is to visit your local bookstore, pick a book, and
spend a few minutes looking up something specific. See if the writing style
suits your needs or if the topic that you're interested in is well-covered.
As for becoming an expert......that word always reminds me of something a
teacher told me years ago.

spurt = drip
Therefore an expert is an unknown drip.
