Office for Mac 2008 [Home] DVD doesn't mount

N

neuron

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

I've re-read older posts and there doesn't seem to be a conclusive fix.

I'll put in the DVD of my new MacBook Pro and it kicks it back out. Any other type of DVD will run fine.

Loaded it on a older MacBook Pro and it mounted.

Anyone assist?

I would call Microsoft but it might be quicker to try making a disk image of
the DVD in the older MacBook Pro then copy the disk image to the new
computer and mount it there. Just be sure all applications are quit before
running the installer.

(800) MICROSOFT (642-7676)

Use Disk Utility.

File > New > Disk Image
Save as DVD/CD Master with no encryption

Directions to do this for Leopard on an external fw drive can be found here:
