Office for Mac installation. Help!!

I installed office for Mac but there's a question mark on the word
icon and when I double click to use it nothing happens. Help

Word icon where? in the dock? Try using the Finder to navigate directly
to the Microsoft Office folder in hard drive/Applications.

Also, what version of Office and OS?

also....

Did you have the Test Drive (trial version) installed before installing the
live version? If so & you didn't do a proper removal (using the Remove
Office utility) that's most likely the source of the trouble... it sounds
like the Dock icon & Word docs are looking for a copy of Word that is no
longer there.

What about the other programs in Office - any problems with them?
