Office Goes Stupid

Hello-

Silly question but has anyone noticed Office apps, mainly Outlook
occasionally will pause and "go stupid" for 10 seconds or so, with the
program icon in the top title bar window (extreme top, left) will change
from the program icon to the generic icon. After several seconds, 10-15 or
so, things come back to normal.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

which version of outlook and what is you OS
do you get a Not Responding on the title bar at the same time?

Sorry -

WinXP and Office 2003.

2 gb RAM on a Thinkpad laptop.

Sometimes get the "not responding" but mostly just see the icon change to
the generic Windows icon for a few seconds.
