I purchased a new computer and had them put MS Office H&S on it. It came with
the disc. I would like to put this on 2 other laptops. Can I do this?

I didn't get one that I know of. It is part of a bundle pack.

Open Word.
a.. Click the round Office button and choose Word Options (the button's at
the bottom of the dialog/menu)
a.. On the Word Options dialog box that appears, click Resources and when
the Resources screen appears, click About.
a.. In the About Microsoft Word dialog box, click the blue link: "View the
Microsoft Software License Terms"

Home & Student 2007 can be installed to three different computers. Unlike
the standard Office 2007 license, these do not have to be desktop & portable
for use by the same user. The restriction is that H&S can't be used for any
business (profit or not profit) purpose. If you violate that provision, you
are required to feel guilty. So, to avoid the guilt, don't use it for
business.

But the questions actually are, "Is the OEM license different than the
Retail license?" and "What did the OP actually buy?". Reading the use
terms on the installation would resolve that.

The OP's original question suggested to me that this is not an OEM version:

"I purchased a new computer and had them put MS Office H&S on it. It came
with
the disc. I would like to put this on 2 other laptops. Can I do this?"

The "had them put..." and "came with the disc" suggested to me that this is
the retail version. I didn't see the "bundle pack" bit until later.

Of course, the OP will need to check the license to see. In my experience,
OEM versions of software refuse to be installed on a computer other than the
one for which they are intended, so the issue might well be moot.

Yep, I hear you on that, we rarely get the whole story on the first go
around. Unfortunately, then someone claims that "Microsoft said", based
