Office Instal Error msg

Hi Guys,

I am installing MS Office 2k proffesional. I enter my
product key and the wizard then begins looking for a valid
qualifying product on my machine. Then I recieve the
following error msg;

"Error 1608. Could not find any previously installed
compliant products on the machine for installing this
product"

"Installation prematurely because of an error"

Please help!

Sounds like you are trying to install an upgrade which
requires that an older edition is already on your
computer. That is what it is looking for.
