Office instalation problem

I just installed Office Professional 2003 on a new machine that came with
Works. Instalation was straightforward, however, when I ty to launch any of
the new applications, the program asks for me to retype the product key from
the package. After typing the key, I get a mesage that the key is incorrect.
I've tried the key in all caps, no caps, double and triple checked the
sequence.
Please help.
