Office is locking up on me

I am having trouble with my Office applications. In Outlook I can receive
mail and go through them, I can't reply, forward, or create new mail. It
locks up on me. In My documents I can view all docs in the list, but when I
attempt to open them any way I know how it locks up on me. I was able to
open and view a PowerPoint attachment to an email today, but at the end when
I clicked to end my computer went to standby. I can't open documents from
Groove either.
Any suggestions?!?!

What version of Office and Windows are you using? Are you to monitor your
CPU utilization during this process? (You can press CTR-ALT-DEL to open
Windows Task Manager and then click on the Performance tab to monitor CPU)
When did this begin to occur?

There have been some issues with prior versions of Outlook but has been
addressed in released Service Packs.

I am running Office 2003 for S.B. and Windows XP Professional.

I think I may have fixed it by reinstalling Office.
