Totally new at this

I have uploaded an excel Work Book Excel 2003. Size Zipped 6031 KB
Unzipped 37.8MB.

When I go to open it message reads

The document cannot be viewed in Web-page format. Click Save As to download
the document to your desktop and open it in its original program. Click here
to learn about the file types that can be viewed in Web page format.

Why does it not open and if it is because of the size and if so when I do
click on "save "does it automatically overwrite the existing , on my
Computer, Work Book Excel of the same name?

Thank You

Did you upload the zipped file? If so then it can't be viewed in the Office
Live Workspace. The viewer on OLW enables you to view (preview) Office
documents. A zip file containing an Office document isn't a valid Office
document.

Additionally, if you click Save As it shouldn't automatically overwrite the
file. Instead you should see a Save As dialog box which enables you change
the file name or change the save location.

Have you tried uploading and previewing a smaller Excel file? It could be
you've encountered a limitation of the previewer. Note that by "opening a
file in the web format" a file on your Office Live Workspace all you are
doing is previewing the file, you still need to use Excel to edit it.

Thank You Beth

I have now managed to upload a excel file And Managed to view it.

What I was looking for is a central site to store accounting records that
can be accessed throuh the web to allow 4 or 5 people, who travel all the
time. who have to account for cash spends, to record the spends , scan
receipts and store them at that central site.

This then allows accountants to access all records including Paper Back up.

Is this the site that will allow this procedure?
