Office locked me out

I"ve been using microsoft office 2000 professional. Today i was openin
a letter and it basically turned all of my files into read only an
said i was "locked out". It said i had to enter my cd key,which i did
and it now says it's an invalid key...

if anyone could please help me correct this problem it would be greatl
appreciated,thank
