Office Mac 2008 home version

Have Office Mac 2008 home program disk. Will not open window to install when disk inserted into laptop.
Dell Windows Vista laptop 1525.

Well, no sarcasm or insult intended, but why would you expect it to? Office
*Mac* 2008 is for the Macintosh OS X operating system on Macintosh computers
& can't be used with the Windows operating system.
