I'm trying to create an office layout on visio 2000. I'm
very new to this and am having problems. When I drag a
room to the sheet, and try to resize it, it resizes the
room, but the borders (or walls) don't resize, what am i
doing wrong? Any help or suggestions or tips would be
greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance,
Nydia

I'm not sure what you mean. For one, the wall thickness *shouldn't* resize,
normally. Or are you having another problem? Can you post images?

I may not be explaining it correctly and I'm not sure on
how to post images.

what i am trying to do is create a office floor plan.
there are several offices, so when I drag on the square
room and put it on the page, if i want to resize it, i
can, but there are 2lined boarders around the square and
when i resize the squares, the don't resize, i have to
resize each one by one. does that make more sense.

If I understand you correctly, those double-lines represent walls (like
2x4s, 2x8s, etc) used in housing design. If this is what you are using, and
want to use, why would you rescale the wall stud widths? Those should
remain the same regardless of room size since they represent the materials
used to construct a wall. On the other hand, you may want to use room
layouts that don't have the stud walls, or use cubicle partitions.
