Office missing from programs and features

Suddenly office is not an option when I open "Programs and Features" in
control panel. It used to be available with options to repair, uninstall or
modify. Now it isn't there at all. I tried using the repair function for
office but it had no affect. All the programs I've got installed for office
work fine bios of a strange happened to cause this and want to avoid any
future problems. I'm running office 2007 Home and Student Edition with
Windows Vista Premium SP1. The problem occurred well it after I installed
SP1.

It is likely that you could UNinstall SP1 from Vista and the Options
would reappear. There are several programs that lost the Uninstall
capabilities with Windows XP SP3 which has similar system Updates. For
them the "fix" was uninstall the program, install the Service Pack, and
then install the program in question.

I had already tried that prior to my original post and the options did not
reappear so I don't believe uninstalling SP1 again will have any affect
either. Hopefully someone else has another solution.

In that case have you tried Reinstalling Office, a Detect and repair
doesn't put back the UNinstall info that I am aware of.
