Office not in Add/Remove programs

Why would Office 2000 not be in my Add/Remove programs
list in XP? It is a valid install, but all I see is a
Office Disk 2 in there. And an Office SR-1 patch. I am
trying to uninstall Outlook and can't do it. When I try
to run the Setup program from my CD, it states that
the "patch package could not be opened". huh? This is my
Office 2000 Disk 1 Setup.exe. Thanks very much to anyone
that can give me some help!

Hi Jeff,

There is no separate listing for the SR1 update.
If you see MS Office 2000 SR1 that is the full
Office 2000 product including the SR1 update.

If you can't complete detect & repair from an Office 2000
app help menu then your installation or the MS Installer
may be damaged.

Thanks for the help. If I go into Word and click DETECT
AND REPAIR, I get the same message about "patch package
could not be opened". How can I get a new installer? I
thought that comes in XP, which I just loaded. I am at a
loss here on how I can get past this and get Outlook
uninstalled. Thanks again!
