Problem with update to sr-1 - Office 2000

Hi all!
I hope to be in the right group...
I would update my Office 2k to the sp3. Googling, i found that before
updating to sp3, I have to update to sr-1.
So I downloaded the file o2ksr1a.exe, executed it but when the update
starts, the program shows the following error:
"The Update program did not locate the expected version of Microsoft
Office 2000 on this machine", that is the same error that appears if I
try to update directly to sp3 without passing through sr-1.

The file I downloaded (o2ksr1a.exe) is the sr-1a, not sr-1: maybe
should I update to sr-1 and then go to sr-1a? On the microsoft site
the file o2ksr1.exe doesn't exists and I can't find something about
this in the net...

I also tryied to download the o2ksr1adl.exe, that is the complete
whole package: once I extracted the files from the exe archive I have
the following files: art.msp, autorun.inf, data1.msp, data2.msp,
fpse.msp, instmsi.exe, instmsiw.exe, o9sr1.hlp, ows.msp, readme.doc,
setup.exe, source.ini
If I try to execute the setup.exe program I return to the previous
error: "The Update program did not locate the expected version..."
If I try to execute one of those .msp files, it raises another error
(translated from italian): "can't install the update patch because the
program to update is not present or the patch is built to update a
different versione of the program..."

Someone knows what I have to do? What I have to install before update
to sr-1a?

Thanks a lot

Luca
